TikTok Shop has documented two new LIVE promotions for Singapore: Group Deal and Price Cut. Both let viewers act together during a LIVE to reach a deal, and both come with clear eligibility rules and pricing-claim rules. TikTok Shop says: “Both features are currently available to selected sellers.” Brands Win is a Singapore-based agency that runs TikTok Shop for consumer brands, and this guide explains how each promotion works, who can use it and how to plan for it.

Checked on 24 October 2026 against TikTok Shop Academy Singapore (page dated 15 October 2026, read 24 October 2026).

Two new LIVE promotions on TikTok Shop Singapore

The source is TikTok Shop Academy’s Singapore page Group Deal and Price Cut: Eligibility & Policies (dated 15 October 2026, read 24 October 2026). It is marked as applying to Singapore and opens with: “Group Deal and Price Cut are interactive promotions you can run during LIVE.”

The key phrase is “selected sellers”. These promotions are currently available to selected sellers, not to every shop, and TikTok Shop has not published a Singapore launch date. For context, TikTok Shop’s Indonesia policy page (dated 15 October 2026, read 24 October 2026) says the features “will launch in November”. That is Indonesia’s timing, not Singapore’s.

The page also tells sellers to “make sure viewers understand how to determine the product price.” With both promotions, the final deal depends on what viewers do, so how your host explains them matters as much as the set-up.

How Group Deal works

Group Deal is built around a group that viewers form together. TikTok Shop describes it in three steps:

  • “Sellers set a required group size, and viewers team up to unlock the deal price.”
  • “If enough people join before time runs out, group members buy at that price.”
  • “If the group does not form, the deal does not go through and participants are not charged.”

In plain terms, the deal only unlocks if the group fills in time. If it does not, nobody pays. That makes Group Deal a shared goal, and it means your host must never talk as if the deal is already won.

How Price Cut works

Price Cut works the other way round. Instead of a single target that unlocks a deal, the price moves as more viewers take part:

  • “Viewers join together to lower the product price during LIVE.”
  • “The more people who participate, the lower the price goes, up to the lowest price set by the seller.”
  • “When the promotion ends, participating viewers are charged at the final price reached.”

So you set a floor, and participation moves the price towards it. Viewers pay whatever price has been reached when the promotion ends, which may not be your floor. Because the outcome is uncertain until the end, viewers need to understand that the price they see mid-LIVE is not yet the price they will pay.

Who is eligible

TikTok Shop says: “To use either feature, you must have an official or marketing account and meet all of these criteria”. The criteria, word for word from the Singapore page, are:

  1. “Passed seller probation.”
  2. “Have an Account Health Rating of at least 100.”
  3. “Have an overall Store Rating score of at least 3.0 (or no Store Rating)”
  4. “Have a Seller-Fault Cancellation Rate (SFCR) of 2% or lower.”
  5. “Have a Creator Health Rating above 150.”
  6. “No severe violations (including but not limited to product listing and IPR policy violations)”

Note the word “all”. Missing one criterion is enough to rule a shop out. Meeting every criterion also does not guarantee access, because the page still describes the features as available to selected sellers.

Our recommendation: check these health scores in Seller Center before you plan a LIVE around either promotion, and treat late cancellations and listing issues as risks to your eligibility, not just to your store rating.

The policy rules to respect

TikTok Shop’s page sets out four rules for running these promotions, and points sellers to its Misleading Price Claims and Expired Pricing and Misleading Content policies for more detail.

Set quantities within your available stock. TikTok Shop says: “For Group Deal, the quantity must be at least the group size. For Price Cut, it must be at least the target participant count. For either feature, the quantity cannot exceed your available product stock.”

Be clear about when a price applies. TikTok Shop says: “Do not promise that viewers will get the Group Deal price before a group has formed, or that they will get the lowest Price Cut price before the target has been reached.” On setting the deal price itself, its advice is to “consider keeping it at or below the product’s lowest price in the past 30 days where possible.” That is advice, not a hard rule.

Be clear about shipping fees. TikTok Shop says: “Only promise free shipping if it applies to the viewer’s order.” It also gives a sample line hosts can use: “Shipping fees may apply. Check the total at checkout.”

Keep your promotion claims truthful. TikTok Shop says: “Prices and discounts mentioned during LIVE should match the product and promotion viewers can access. Do not inflate discounts or use deceptive promises.”

Planning Group Deal and Price Cut for Singapore and SEA brands

Our recommendation is to treat these promotions as planned LIVE segments, not last-minute add-ons.

Choose which products suit each format. Group Deal suits products people like to share or buy with friends, such as gift sets and bundles, because the group goal gives viewers a reason to invite others. Price Cut suits a single hero product where watching the price move builds suspense.

Script your hosts and creators. Write the key lines in advance: how the group size or target works, that the deal applies only once the group forms or the promotion ends, and the shipping reminder. Keep the wording close to TikTok Shop’s own so nothing drifts into a promise.

Brief creator content around the LIVE. If creators post short videos to promote the LIVE, brief them on the same rules. Creator content should describe how the promotion works, not promise a final price.

Prepare for mega sale LIVEs. Year-end sale dates such as 11.11 and 12.12 are when shops are most tempted to stack offers. Our recommendation is to confirm eligibility and stock early, settle the deal price against TikTok Shop’s lowest-price advice, and rehearse the host script before the sale LIVE, not on the day.

Set a performance target for each LIVE. Decide in advance what a good result looks like for each segment, such as orders from the Group Deal product or how many viewers joined the Price Cut, so you can compare formats fairly afterwards.

Hypothetical illustration, not a client example: a Singapore home fragrance brand that meets the eligibility criteria plans a LIVE with one Group Deal on a gift set and one Price Cut on a single candle. It sets quantities within its stock and briefs its host to say the deal price applies only once the group forms, and that viewers should check the total at checkout.

At Brands Win, we plan LIVE calendars like this inside Growth System 90, so eligibility checks, stock, host scripts and creator briefs are mapped out before a sale period rather than sorted out on the day.

FAQs: TikTok Shop Group Deal and Price Cut

What is TikTok Shop Group Deal?

Group Deal is an interactive LIVE promotion. The seller sets a required group size, and viewers team up to unlock the deal price. If enough people join before time runs out, group members buy at that price.

What is TikTok Shop Price Cut?

Price Cut is an interactive LIVE promotion where viewers join together to lower the product price. The more people who take part, the lower the price goes, down to the lowest price set by the seller. Participating viewers are charged the final price reached when the promotion ends.

Can every Singapore seller use Group Deal and Price Cut?

No. TikTok Shop says both features are currently available to selected sellers. Shops also need an official or marketing account and must meet all of the eligibility criteria on TikTok Shop’s Singapore page.

What happens if a Group Deal group does not fill?

If the group does not form before time runs out, the deal does not go through and participants are not charged.

What can hosts say about the price during a Group Deal or Price Cut?

Hosts should not promise the Group Deal price before a group has formed, or the lowest Price Cut price before the target is reached. They should only promise free shipping if it applies, and prices and discounts mentioned should match what viewers can access.

How should brands choose between Group Deal and Price Cut?

Our recommendation is to use Group Deal for products people like to share or buy together, such as gift sets, and Price Cut for a single hero product where a moving price builds interest. In both cases, set quantities within stock and script the host first.
